National General Secretary​-​Indian National Overseas Congress (USA)

Working on hosting the first Public meeting for Shri Rahul Gandhi in USA in september 2017. I shared the dias with him and also wrote several articles in newspapers to create a positive environment for the meeting for Shri Rahul Gandhi.

2014 – 2015​-​Coordinating an consolidated effort to have a security pact between US and India through the involvement of veteran groups across America and building a consensus among the law makers for a historic defense pact between the two great democracies. Our Organization (www.usiscouncil.org) is working with all major Indian Organizations in achieving this historic necessity.

​An Organization that works for helping spread and preserve the rich Hyderabad culture amongst the second and third generation of NRI’s in USA.

​Coordinator​- Indian American Security Leadership Council Worked with several Congressmen and Senators for the support of the Indian American Civil Nuclear Deal.
Part of a team that brought retired Indian Generals/ Admirals/ Air Marshal’s (Lt.General Jack Jacob, Admiral K.K.Nayyar, Air Marshall Brajesh Dhar Jayal) to US to interact and communicate with US Lawmakers for the support of the America – India Civil Nuclear Deal in 2007.

1997 – 2008​​-​Chapter President, National Treasurer​- Indian American Forum for Political Education.

  • Responsible for organizing the annual Congressional convention at Washington DC.
  • Responsible for recruiting several Indian American Interns in the offices of US Lawmakers (Eg: Placed interns in the New York Mayor’s office, Congressman Joseph Crowley’s office, Robert Menendez Office, Frank Pallone’s office etc.)
  • Worked with Congressmen and Senators on various issues concerning the Indian American Community (Eg : Gujarat Earthquake in 2000, Support for Kargil conflict in 2000-2001 etc.)
  • ​President, Area Governor and Division Governor ​- Toastmasters International (District 46)

    2001 – 2006​​-​President, Area Governor and Division Governor ​- Toastmasters International (District 46) ∙​Organized several Club Contests, Area Contests, Division Contests for public speaking, Communication and Leadership Development in New York, New Jersey. Responsible for over 50 clubs (over 600 toastmasters) consisting of mainly American Executives.

    ​2001 – 2004​​-​Youth President​- Indian National Overseas Congress.
    ​Part of the team that Organized a reception for the then Opposition Leader Smt.Sonia Gandhi in June 2001. Wrote Several Articles in Ethnic Newspapers supporting Mrs.Gandhi before and after her visit. Worked in mobilizing several Organizations to support Overseas Congress. Organized and worked with INOC team to create several chapters of Overseas Congress. Organized several media conferences and receptions for visiting Leaders of the Congress Party.

    Part of the team that Organized a huge meeting against the Gujarat genocide in 2002 and attended by over 1500 people on a working day. Personally contributed articles and money for the event.

    ​National Advisor and Media Coordinator – Indian American Friendship Council.

    ​​2001 – 2004​​- ​National Advisor and Media Coordinator – Indian American Friendship Council.
    ​Part of the team that organized the annual Congressional Convention at Washington DC that was attended by over 140 Congressmen and Senators supporting India and the Indian American Community.

    Personally invited Shri Salman Khurshid in 2001 to attend the convention and see the growing support among the US Lawmakers for India.

    Youth President (American Telugu Association) - ATA

    1998 – 2000​-​Youth President (American Telugu Association) - ATA

  • (Organized a youth camp for second generation Indian Americans and also visit to India). Part of ATA team that organized the annual convention in July at Atlanta – 2000 that was attended by over 10,000 Telugu community people.

  • ​Created a database for future reference and communication for ATA that was useful in communicating and spreading the ATA message among the Indian American telugu community in the USA.
  • ​Coordinator of coalition of Indian Organizations

    1997 – 1999​- ​Coordinator of coalition of Indian Organizations Organized Indian Classical dance festivals for second generation Indian American kids in which we had over 30 teams participate.

    Organized a big Indian Mela that had many ethnic Indian stalls and fireworks. This mela’s was organized in the second week of August and in 1997 we had over 10,000 people attend the mela that coincided with India’s 50 year of Independence.
    The New Jersey assembly adopted August 15th 1997 as India Day and the same was passed and read in the New Jersey Assembly and presented to our Organization by the Congressman – Robert Menendez

    ​Coordinator of Indian Community in the USA

    ​1997 – Organized several fund raisers for Congressmen who support the Indian Community in the USA (Eg: Gary Ackerman, Frank Pallone, Robert Menendez, Steve Israel, Anthony Weiner, Joseph Crowley etc). Worked on getting several Congressmen/ Congresswoman into the Indian Caucus including Congressman David Wu, Grace Meng.​

    Gandhian Society is located in Edison New Jersey... in the heart of Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut).
    We are currently working with many Gandhian NGOs and all other organizations who are inspired by Gandhiji such as America's own apostle of non-violence, Martin Luther King.
