In commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s martyrdom day on January 30th, 2024, the Gandhian Society USA and the Eternal Gandhi Museum, New Jersey, proudly announce the launch of the “Gandhiji Video World Wide Competition.” This initiative seeks to engage individuals from across 150 nations in creating compelling and inspirational videos that honor and reflect the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi.

Embracing Gandhian Values Through Storytelling:

The competition seeks to inspire participants to explore and express Gandhiji’s timeless values of non-violence, peace, truth, and social justice through the powerful medium of visual storytelling.

Thematic Spectrum:

With the central theme of “Capturing Gandhiji’s Values, Legacy, and Impact,” the competition encourages submissions exploring various aspects of Gandhi’s life, including:

His struggles for human rights and freedom
His unwavering commitment to non-violent resistance
His vision for social justice and equality
His emphasis on sustainable living and environmental consciousness
His message of empowerment for marginalized communities
His principles of leadership and activism
His dedication to education and self-improvement
His advocacy for interfaith harmony and religious tolerance

Prestigious Launch:

The competition was inaugurated by His Excellency Shri Devvrat Acharya, the Governor of Gujarat, alongside esteemed dignitaries such as Mr. Mahesh Wani (Secretary, Gandhian Society USA), Mr. Harshad Patel (Vice Chancellor, Indian Institute of Teacher Education), Prof. Prasad Gollanapalli (Gandhian Scholar, Leader of Sarvodaya Movement & Managing Trustee, Gandhi King Foundation), Dr. Sriram Sonty (GUIDE, PHILOSOPHER FOR GANDHIAN YOUTH MOVEMENT), Mr. Rajendra, and Mr. Bharat Joshi (Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Vidyapith).
